Must've been a couple months ago when I made this one. It was a sunday night and my sleep schedule was shot to hell, so I decided to work up something ambient, though congested. With some depth, y'know? Something to help me sleep. So I started with a filtered string synth and bells and went from there. I never intended it to be a 'proper' song, but I and a couple dozen online 'subscribers' found reason for me to finish it.
Lots of airy stuff and delay. The stretched hihats need to go though, far too much of a 'presence'.

As a huge lover of 90s Black Dog stuff, I really enjoyed listening to this.
It sounds sounds incredibly early 90s. Maybe you can exagerate the oldness of the sound, and by doing so, convince me that it was deliberate. What if you add digital pops to that string part and then record it onto a shitty tape player? It might be difficult to sink back up, but I think it's worth a try.

Oh, my father could even school me in digital to tape and back again recordings. Hell, he even does it for his record collection. The more analog sound might benefit it a little, though maybe it seems a little congested for it. Could always simulate it with a waveshaper first before doing all the wiring. Nothing incredibly difficult, but not even the tape player wouldn't be mine. It's a thought, it's a thought...
