Whoo hoo, now it's a month between releases instead of a year!
This is using pretty much the same setup as the last release, except I'm using S550 instead of A5000. And there's no Nord on here, it's all crunchy 12 bit samples.
Though I like the melody/chords a lot, I'm really displeased with these drums - I'm getting well tired of making drums like this. I sampled the drums from a Megatron Man record: link and I really over-EQd them. I forgot to put the hi hat in too, so there's like no treble.
My drums are basically shit lately and I think I might focus on those for a while, maybe do some drum n drone shit. It doesn't help that I haven't been using the RY30 because as much as I love to hate it, I make much better drums using that than anything else.
Or maybe it'd be better if I went in the opposite direction and just made this kind of grainy ambient-ish shit, because that's the kind of stuff I like anyway? | |

Yeah, this would probably sound better with cleaner, drum machine type drums, or something more synthesized.
But I like the progression.

Totally, yeah. Both structurally and timbrally. I don't know why I keep using these sledgehammer snares but I'm sick of them.

I'm starting to think this little tune might be worth salvaging with a little improvement on the drums and probably a couple more phrases and a new bass sound....so I might redo it, and give it a proper name. I'd rather work on new shit atm though.
