--> i've been working on this idea for about 3 months now.
i've gone through a couple versions, but this one im most happy with.
this version used to have lots of viola(not the fredo kind) and cello parts, but it just wasnt working out.
i dont think that i could make a song any more dramatic than this.
if you love or hate anything, i'd like to hear about it.
and i'm always looking for mixing advice....

i just acquired a fucking MARIMBA from my (our) friend colin....and it makes its first appearance in my recordings at the end of this song!

i used: accordion , piano horn, acoustic and electric guitar, mellotron samples, glockenspiel, marimba, cz-3000, pss-680, magicstomp reverb/pitch shifting/delay,
firewood, toy piano, and 61 tracks of computer recording.

WARNING: guitar solos ahead

This is excellent. I don't have much to suggest. Perhaps the end could build up more intensity by slowly adding extra marimba harmony tracks.

more build up at the end....i shall investigate

This is hot. Epic even. Mixed well. Like watchin ur car pullin off with ur girl at the wheel and u on some random desret road.
That is to say, I enjoyed this a great deal.
Felt good to listen to. All the elements worked well together.

I meant to say stranded on some desert road, like, a long walk ahead...very visual for me.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that poor unicorn.

this is film score quality. quite excellent. wonderfull textures/colors. extrordinarily vivid
the hopeless vibes are making me depressed.

way to go jerk.

somebody email tim burton.

oh wow! please do email him!!!!

Frickin' epic. The ending makes me feel like I'm in a fairy factory. But it's so abrupt! This is in need of second movement or something...
ooooooh thanks for the nice comments, pals!
good plan, odbol....now if only i can make one up...

wow, great work. the arrangement is really well done. only complaint is i wanted more. much more.

michel gondry said (paraphrased): as an artist, i had a choice between making quality and making quantity. i chose quantity, because quantity lasts.

swept away in the great +release war of '07

gotta ditch that distorted guitarr, .. common mang yoyu know that was a cheap shot :P or .. you know use it in a les .. errmm defaulty sort of way .. otherwise .. you know .. its perfect

:P

man i love this. Very inspiring!!!

sorry i've got nothing actually constructive to say whatsoever.

ah well.

Good grief! I didn't realize how much slower this site is than others. I can't say I'm awfully pleased after releasing 7 songs at once. I was used to sites that are so huge you get washed away if you don't post more than five. Ack.....

anyways... back to the tune. I love the way it starts out. That's just kickin'. I mean... coooooooooolness! I just can only think of one other time hearing such very fully instrumental tunes with so much personality... and that is in the edward scissor hand's soundtrack.
That is a very cool, very inexpressible image. I'd have to listen to it several times before I could ever find a way to critique it... and I'm sure you really prolly wouldn't care. So for now, I'll just laud you and kiss your boxxers (but not your pets... kissing pets will come after you make five more tracks like this... and that excludes fish... especially pirana... mostly because fish don't like me...mostly)

i know i'm a little late, but i love this. and the other stuff too.
