Electronic Music 411 - Patchwork

I'd like to hear this without the drums. I mean to say I really like the pulse based guitar parts. I think they could easily stand on their own. Just cause this is a 'lectronic music community doesn't mean everything has to have sequenced drums... Good work though...

I agree with jrom.. the drums seems to dumb down this track slightly.. the guitar parts have a nice steve reich'ness to it with some added rhys chatham'ness thrown in!

I disagree: I actually like the drums. I think without them (especially that crazy kick!) the accents of the piece would be lost...

i tried to give the harmony/melody simple time keeping rhythms, and the drums the color/offbeat stuff... but the guitar does sound good by itself. i think i've got some portions of other songs that showcase it a lot better.
