I love the bassline, thats rad.... love the slow simplish Roni-Sizeish groove that suddenly dips into some serious funk cesspools
The vox, i thinnk, have too much stereo seperation on them. I like that effect as spice, but not so much as a method. Fast rappin' is busy enough, I think too many effects just clutter it up. Most hip hop rekkerds I've heard use the doubling up on words/lines as a hook moreso than as overall processing.
Can the kick be thumpier and the snare a bit snappier... i felt like they might need to really pop out of the speakers more. Maybe layer in a deep, short kick drum and a really high freq- rich, short snare? I think the attacks on them are a bit too flat. Maybe its just morning ear on my part.
Those are my two negative comments. Great flow and beats, the individual sounds each have their own space which is great

good points mlbot, in a lot of the other mixes i "fatten" the kick and snare just the way you said, this is one of the only ones in which i dont. I will take into account of the stereo seperation, i do that a lot, maybe to much. I cant remember in this track though if i just left the acapella alone or put my effects on it. KB is good at mixing so i tried to leave a lot of his acapellas alone but if you hear some stereo seperation, its most l likely from me. Maybe i should do that before we release the stuff, thanks again.

nice.
I agree about the stereo separation effect being used sparingly.
The bass needs to dominazte a bit more I think.
Did he say this is how we do it in 2005?
