--> Seems all my friends have their birthdays in may. So today bugbabe has her birthday, and here is liveset I did out of "leftovers", little poppy song scribbles that never out much. Some quixits in there as well. Everything is a bit lacking obviously, the drums sound thin, etc... but I'm somehow quite pleased with the result. It's also the first I did not rewarp my live bass recordings. They are a bit flakey thus, but it's getting better

The pic is my fucked up stencil on my micro nord

Hope you enjoy

fact: may is the most popular bday month.

track: dope! drop some of the synths tho.. thast just me (

really nice!

bassline sound fits nicely with lfoy synthy effects

wasn't sure of straight rhythm chords at first..or that floaty break, bit too floaty maybe for me, something I'd say generally about your music (sometimes goes too floaty for me), but you do keep it engaging, so..

direction could be guided a bit more towards the end :-)

EDIT: Opa! Should get into the habit of reading the header before listening. Sorry, was listening as though it was a track rather than a live set :-)

Can imagine Shannon or someone like that making a tune like this

wow tattoo

Listening again :-)

thanks for the comments jdg: yeah, i see exactly what you mean about the synths. I kinda start to like the tracks actually, they were more like unloved children of mine and I wanted to take them out for a ride. I'll try to make the groove harder and tighter on these. I was thinking to play these as a first part to my liveset next week before going the ambient route, but I think that the overbusy percussions and synths won't fit particularly well with it being background music. Maybe I can rip out the chord progressions and melodies I like, and add a more straight motowny groove underneath (bom ka tschi ka bom ka tschi), which will better blend with it being background muzak.

Sounds scrumptious. That wah synth over the first pad progression is wacky. Other than that, I really like this.

it'S fun. like the pace and the drum sounds.
it's a little crowded in there.
maybe move stuff more to the background.
maybe it's just due to the lots of changes, that there's a need for some glueing element – it was hard to follow sometims.

btw. that stabby sawish synth: awesome.

ha!
yeah a touch crowded but i love some of those synths

and the flange slap bass is straight from the early 90s but i love that too.

i just want some space for sure

excellent space reggae.

i have been reading a lot of sci-fi recently
i was trying to imagine what the music in the 27th century would sound like.
THIS COULD BE IT
