--> Mama Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys.

It's a Waylon Jennings/Willie Nelson tune that was a little weird before I showed up. I record the whole song, then downsampled it 2 semitones without an anti-alias filter.

Please excuse rampant flatness of the vocals- somehow I found it charming.

wowwwwwwwww... your voice.... dude. This sounds amazing. Trippy and deep and funny and amazingly shapely! I think it might get a litttttttle bright, though not sure if that is what you might be going for. It sandpapered my ears a little, but with such authentic and gorgeous music making it definitely hurts so good. Fucking guitar solo.....!!!!! Holy crap! Dude, this is definitely one of your best pieces ever.

TOtally reminded me of David Lynch's Wild at Heart too, btw. That porn sequence out by the trailer park. And remember the number: ten. Is that a huge chorus synth in the last quarter?

schweet...space country

You're right Fredo, it's a little exaggerated in the high end. I did that to compensate for pitching the song down- on second listen I WAY over shot!
And do I sound like a different person on this song or what!? Thanks so much for the kind words! When my guitar solo starts evoking thoughts of trailer park porn, I know I'm spot on!
How've you been doing, btw?

Hey, go on aim, I'd love to chat and on your thread I would feel disrespectful.

Yeah, I think maybe the whole thing is just a little too heavily compressed as well, but again, it's such beautiful pain. And seriously, your guitar solo is totally awesome.

You are doing for Country what the Melvins did for Metal

wow!
Now who's up for covering a few so I can make a great net compilation of classic country gone wild?

You are asking em411 to go wild?
More like gone mild.

I'll do "Tra la la la Triangle" in IDM style and call it "Patsy Sine"

no no, i mean make some wild covers. of classic country. you guys are about as prone to "go wild" as I am!
but seriously, who's in?

I AM

i'll do 'he stopped loving her today' or maybe a sweet bluegrass jam..i thought i was the only person here who listens to old country music.

nah there's probably a lot of us!

yesssssssssssssss...thats good to know. well yeah im down, for real
lets do it
