Deer - Closet Gap
Here's the short version of my latest tune, which will end up on the upcoming Diaspora: Cottage Industries 5 compilation on Neo Ouija Records.
Comments and criticism welcome (though I'm not likely too change much at this point, will eventually do a longer more minimal version though). Enjoy!

i like the melody...kinda playful...not overtly giddy-happy.
smooth as 1/2 and 1/2, frangelico and ethiopian coffee.
i don't know how you get throbbing-smooth basslines like that.
the granularized melodic/harmonic lines are a great contrast.
i'm still trying to find the right levels of bit-degradation for some sounds.
all our bases are belong to your basslines though.

thanks skinnyjabba and lunatinker
my basslines.. mmh. usually they're a mess.. at least two basslines played by hand, then chopped and moved around until I'm happy enough.
not really jdg, added the delays in the second part of it and possibly played around with eq a bit though.. what did you spot?

Great song writing, great mix, great song. And that hail sound at the end is fucking rad. I wouldn't mind hearing more of it delicately integrated into earlier portions of the song. Keep us posted on the final release.

Gorgeous. It's on my mp3 player & it endures, I don't skip it.
Seems a bit daft to pick out elements when I just generally love it, but ok: I really love the bass tweaks, the panned bendy pad and that dirty percussion part that comes in just after the intro....strong elements anyway & an impeccable sense of flow.
Bloody hell Filarion, excellent work.
