--> All of the sounds are sourced from recordings grabbed while filming a short film with a friend of mine--mostly car stuff, engines and radios and signals and horns--then choked to death in Live and piled on high in Pro Tools. I don't particularly like it, but it's dirty and spontaneous and fun to make. It's a willful mess, so let me know where I'm laying it on too thick, too thin, if it's too raw, too long, too monotone, etc. I know that it's compressed to hell (sorry JDG), but this ugly digi thing is sort of appealing to me at the moment (again, to make, not to suffer listening through).

yeah it pretty well blasts out of the powerbook. This is about the punkest mixing I've ever done--went at it with little care for finesse, dynamics, fades, etc. This may be because early middle-aged frequency attenuation is kicking in so I need other people to tell me what's what with my mixes.

lol listening now in teh "studio"

its awefully "left" heavy.

lots of sub bass info too..
but its not crazy loud/compressed. its pretty good.
u win. this round

I always hang a little to the left

Me likes sub bass! Thanks, still need to give it the car test.

I like it truckloads

especially like the vocals - what are they?

god this is dog rough though, oof. Sort the mix out a bit. Maybe that bass on every second beat of the bar is a bit on the heavy side. Not sure if mix/composition problem. I know it maybe adds to the hypnotic paranoid effect.

It's still a great claustotrip though, well done!

tantan this is ace actually

please repost when you've tarted it up a bit more! (damn no editing)

thanks Jetsom, good suggestions, I definitely have some cleanup to do. I get so impatient when it comes to quality control these days, so I gotta force myself to sit down and deal with the rough bits. I'll repost afterwards.

The vocals were a grab of a radio announcer that I caught by accident while recording ambient sound for the film, mixed with happy reactions from the director and actors.

Aw, you've deleted it.

oughhchh, this is very neat track, vocals are !! nEatofobiC //

When is this coming out?
