--> This is a song that I whipped up for "Rhyme Torrents", the nerdcore hip hop comp that came out a while ago while I was away in the land of tacos and mariachis.
It hase been simultaniously hailed as beening "astound[ing] by making a track that is old school in feel and spirit, by invoking misty-eyed nostalgia over this much-beloved system while at the same time giving the nod to hip-hop's origins" and shat on as "an unspectacular 'back in the day' joint."
Give it a listen and let me know what you think.

the whole thing sounds supercompressed, like im already listening to it on a radio broadcast, which i thought was a shame.

its still ace though! truly smashing lyrics. love it!

yeah, this is a reworking of an old song I made back in highschool (really more of a spiritual cousin than a remake) and that was before that band was big...or least before i knew about them.

yeah, that is partially due to my over eagerness with compressors and partially due to the fact that i recorded the vocals on a crap mic and needed to compress the crap out of them for volume...

I thought you posted this already? Or maybe when you sent me the link on IM, anyways...I love it. the mix is little weird, i wish the synths were more gritty, they do sound a little flat and everything is a little compressed, but its still a great track. I love the backing vocals you did with the high pitch stuff in the back, i really thought you had a bunch of kids in a room doing it..

...but the real question is "Do you spit hotfire?!?"
