--> Song from 1999s album y2k, a split CD between brazil ebm project Cyberthreat and Notstandskomitee. I still got some available...
The main analog sound come from a Sequential Circuits Sixtrak but most interesting is the plucked string section in the second part. Its a physical modelling simulation, done in csound.

interesting indeed, where is that string section coming from?

Awesome! The drums are from the Sixtrak? Cause I'd like samples of those, please

I like how that analog sound slowly sort of goes in and out of phase with the drums

yeah, i dig the out-of-syncness as well. nice simple track.

yeah, i like that too. makes me feel kinda sick...but in a good way

mighty sweet

Thanks for the comments. Its out of sync?? DOH! Never noticed it
Its sequenced with Logic, only the analog synth sound is Sixtrak but it had indeed some modulations which are not synced at all, joy of free running LFOs.
The drums are sampled with an Ensonic ASR 10 but I dont know from where they came originally. I dont think I made that on my own, sounds a bit Roland CR78 or a drumkit from that aera and I didnt had access to such drumboxes in that time, only a TR606. There is a mistake which actually became a feature, first the drums where played in the wrong pitch. I discoverd it during the composition and correct it but kept the wrong, lower pitch in the beginning.

The plugged strings are renderd totally in csound and in those days realtime csound was not possible for me. I recorded some midi controll data for the modulation of the physical model making them morphing between plucked wires and pure pulse wave, created the sound script and renderd it offline. The long sample I put into the song via audiosection of Logic.

wow, not what I'd expect from Csound. Sick and bubbly!
