I Thought I Was Going To Die
Release
Author: Mesothelioma on September 26 2007
--> I wrote this long obnoxious thing about this release and then it disappeared. I made this cause I couldn't sleep the other night. Started at 5 A.M. and ended at about 2 P.M. or so. It was unusual for me cause I usually am more linear but I just jammed it out in Live's session view with my trusty mouse. A lot of use of operator and a 303 emulator.

phew.. for a second i thought your name said something about meth.. annd i was like 'oh JEZUS'..

nice little tune tho, i like the atmosphere to it... get some sleep :P

haha monk mesothelioma is a lung cancer formed by overexposure to fiberglass or Asbestos. Usually carpenters get it at age 50-60 and file lawsuit against their employer in order to fight for their lives.

Mesothelioma is not to be confused with Asbestosis although some symptoms are the same in each case.

nice tune! it feels nice, would like to hear a little more stereo field interplay, but I do like that mettallic resonance that is smeared across the field

What a fruitful jam session. All of the instruments work well together. If you keep working on it, I'd like to hear the song evolve more as it progresses. But it really holds up well as it is.

Thanks for the kind words. And thanks for the input utofbu, I think I will go in and work a little on the space of it. Any other advice is more than welcome.

i like the dark feeling. feels kinda old school. maybe it's the verbs. though the really deep punch is stealing lots of evenrgy here and drowning quite a bit. maybe get loose of a little bit of low end on that and clean up the lower mids a little.

i was waiting for it to explode and ripping stuff apart. make it rockign at one point. please.
and a little bit shorter. it tends to get repetitive.
still a great track
