this is great. thx for sharing

really relaxing. lots of substance as well. the percussion is subdues and comes across really clear and smooth.
fantastic listen. love the chords. the progression is natural or cohesive. nice.....

I love the mellow feel of this.
Very relaxing.
Very smooth.
I too love the subtleness of the precussion trax.
Nice

thanks all...

really appreciate the positive feedback...

any constructive criticism?

I feel that i need to do a take 2--go back and edit transitions--

i feel that each change is blocky and defined by on the fly sequencing in ableton--

going to try to make it less obvious..

this is very nice and mellow and relaxing and all... but isn't it somewhat longish? i've been listening to it at work while doing other things and it seems like it's lasting forever... which is nice, don't misunderstand me, but it seems like it doesn't develop.
2 cents.
Recent blogs: first blog!

The transitions work fine for me.

pierlu--

you are right--it does stay long, linear and relatively modal--as does most of my music...I actually faded this take out...it was originally 16 minutes long!

i am admittedly somewhat of a fraud of a composer and instrumentalist--

but due to most electronic music being somewhat linear--without resolution (i.e. breaks)

i can hold my own without being laughed out of a room of music theorists

i feel that when i write music--i am creating a backdrop--not unlike ambient music

that gives the listener enough time to open up and stretch out.

yet-keep their attention and move forward with rhythmic composition...

not to sound to heady..

i really just do what feels good..

thank you for input

i understand your point of view. but still i would insist to put some evolution to the track (or to similar tracks). probably the key is what you wrote before: transitions. giving distinct transitions prolly would make the track better without affecting its essence too much... well... it seems like you know what you have to work on now!

cheers,p.
