--> Here's another song from my almost finished album. It seems done to me, but I want it to pass through the EM411 filter before I call it so.

Plus, I hope it's a nice mellow Monday ambience for people

Thanks.

that ultra high quality reverb scares me off sometimes...but thats only when im listening too closely.

i imagine some sort of hi tech submarine captain telling one of his young workers to get in his scuba gear and go repair the left rudder..and then the worker peeks out one of the huge dome windows and catches a glimpse of some huge blueishgreenish sea horse/dragons and hes all like....youre a damn fool if you think im gettin off this submarine with those things out there......but he must have gone because i hear the underwater welding there at the end.

"youre a damn fool if you think im gettin off this submarine with those things out there" That's absolutely hilarious. I can see the image now too.

When you say the ultra high quality reverb scares you off, does that mean you prefer lower quality reverb? Or is your issue the manner in which I applied the reverb?

nice Monday ambience fsho! definitely invokes an underwater feeling. cool organic feel to the sweeps and sound presentation, was realtime controller involved recording this ?

Kinda reminds me of the internal workings ot some strange "from the future" vesel. More specificall the engine.
All glowee and pulsing with these organized yet independent sounds.
Nice texture, well mixed
Well done

"was realtime controller involved recording this ?" Sort of. I recorded myself playing the tracks in Reason. Then recorded myself playing with some of the parameters. Most of the sound processing was done non real time in Logic and Sound Forge though.

a little bit of both nick, though i only meant the actual sound of reverb. its so clean and slippery sounding...but that kind of suits the song.

but now that you mention it, i do also fear too much reverb.. but i dont think that applies so much to this song...i mean it feels like it has a theme, and the reverb suits that theme just fine.

so actually just disregard that, i had to get my reverb hating out for the day i suppose

Yes, interesting use of reverb as noted elsewhere. Like a sound unto itself working with the sounds feeding into it.
