stfu edinburgh set (kind of)

--> Here is the same set I did in Edinburgh, this time done in my bedroom though. I fuck up at the same times though haha (I guess ableton is not following midi sync as it should). Anyway, I think it's good fun. It's 99% Machinedrum, the acapellas are from live, as are very short synth passages (2 or 3). My goal was to make a whole dancing boom boom set with the machinedrum. Spent quite a lot of time sorting and rearranging my patterns, that was really a pain in the ass.

nice flow chart

i'm back there!!!!!!!!! nice one daswesen!

sounds really good, i like the style alot
definitely dancey, but constantly shifting and sounds very 'live' hands-on

"I fuck up at the same times though haha (I guess ableton is not following midi sync as it should)."

^does that you mean you wouldn't have messed up at all if you'd just used the machinedrum by itself?

i _really_ like the track with "the sky" sample
been digging it since i heard it in your machinedrum liveset video

great set daswesen - v old school intelligent bouncing techno

just missing the mr motivator backdrop - there were times when he and you were so in sync - it looked like it had been made for the set

ahahaha - indeed it did. give him a call daswesen...you could tour together.

web 2.0 sheet music. awesome. this is fun; will sit down for proper listen laster! also, can i get a copy of your communism song remix?
that is, from what i remember, the best song ever for testing new subs. i have moved a stereo pair to the ballroom and need the boom...

THanks for the kind words everybody. Funnily I have been asked to play that one again tomorrow at an art party. Apparently there will be a shitty PA lulz.

Lunatinker: you should find the song (not finished, I have a better version I used for a liveset with benedikt I have to polish) on my empage.

hey,

i'll listen when i get back tomorrow

this is cool
i wish i couldve heard it live through big speakers
sometimes some of the sounds have a clicky attack

great fun!

what's that bassline in the first part?

You were on at stfu Edinburgh before i'd met anyone there, i was kind of stood up too, and someone i didn't know leaned over and said, 'did you just come down here to sit by yrself & watch porn?'. Turned out he himself had been expecting to hear chinese drumming there that night.

I really enjoyed your set at forest too btw!
