This was arranged for an annual local music festival. This was my sixth year. Generally, I play things that are pleasant and mellow. Something the average Ohio church-goer can appreciate, regardless of taste. This year, I wanted to really test the speaker system, the audience, and Bowling Green in general. I was hoping someone would dance. While there was plenty arms-crossed head bobbing, there were no dancers. Lame. This track got me turned down. That's right. They turned my music down, while I was playing. . .
That said: THIS TRACK IS LOUD.
Enjoy. Dance. (Even if you're alone.) (Especially if you're alone.)

its not that loud.. there is some massive infrasonic bass stuff.. stuff under 15hz... HP that junk.. then u could get this even louder.

Ah ha! I had a limiter running on the master bus and it was on pretty hard. I pulled it back because it was hurting my ears. My room is crap for bass. It's basically a cube, and all the bass lives at the edge of the room. Thanks for the tip.

try it!
like put a steep ass filter, at 20hz and below.. cut cut cut.. then u can boost your limter maybe another 3dB.. maybe more.
talk about loud!

Woa jdg, what sound system has bass extension to 15 hz? Who has ears that can hear that low? Or did you see it looking at a waveform display?
Regarding this song, it certainly doesn't seem loud to me either.
That's quite a Richard James looking smile in the picture.

Naughty stuff- just like that smile. Most enjoyable. I reckon a big stereo pad flapping in the breaaze to fill some gaps between and harmonise with the hoover bass notes would be nice.

Hmm. Perhaps I pulled back the Limiter too far... Yes, this should really be filled out. It isn't my usual thing. Generally, my tracks are much slower, and more syncopated/melodic/textured. I really appreciate all the feedback. In a few days I'll have something up that is more my typical style, and I'd love to know then what people think of this vs. my usual.
Regarding the smile: That's me outside our local bar. It was sort of a joke. Someone asked me to describe what the Richard D. James album looks like.

just cuz your system dont do lower freqs.. its still robbing the ultimate power.
too much infrasonics, causes lesser speakers to distort that much faster (as they are STILL trying to modulate those freqs)
my system goes down to about 15-20hz.
there needs to be no info down there, unless u do it on purpuose
