--> Hi!
I picked up a Rhodes. I don't really know how to play piano. Here is something which is the first thing I recorded. I hope you like it.
Here is what my new setup looks like. I really like it.

Nice stuff. You can't beat the sound of a proper Rhodes.
Don't try and learn how to play properly, it can bog you down.
Loving this piece.

Yeah, another one of us naming songs after portland destinations!

a couple blocks from there, where NE Weidler is an eastbound one-way street that suddenly takes a 90 degree left, I once saw a car that had gone straight ahead, must not have even seen the street come to a "T", hopped the curb, and was resting on the stairs leading up to a house there. HILARIOUS!

doh!!

so, this is awesome.

Agreed, your instincts are paying off, follow them. However, fingering technique is never a bad thing to learn, so long as you don't let "propriety" get in the way of your gut.

Thanks! Before this, I only played an Oxygen8, so having like 50 extra keys or so is really fun. I got a book of chords so I can figure out what sounds good and what doesn't. And MonkeyPlus, I remember when that happened. I used to live on Weidler about a block from that turn. I'm suprised that people don't drive up those stairs more often.

This sounds scrumptious to me. I like your other tracks too.

yes, this is really sweet, and dark. really nicely done

Hey! Thanks again! Your kind words really mean a lot!
Thanks!

soothing that is. i'd like to hear this soaked a little in reverb. at least in some point, would suite for a great texture.

i can imagine how it feels switching some more keys upwards. some month ago i left the unglory oxygen 8 behind for 49 keys. what a relief

dude, this is great! I really like how the noiselevel contours the low end.

also. great melodic stuffs!
