Electronic Music 411 - Pornography

you don't need the samples dude, your music arrangement is cool enough. the running synths and bubble like bass are great. don't you think that your track would have ranked higher if it didn't have the samples? when i heard it i almost turned it off, till i heard the other parts are really cool.

I just can't understand why these porno samples are problematic. They don't obstruct anything else in the mix. They nicely ratchet up in intensity as the song reaches the appropriately climactic end. And their flagrantly pornographic nature is refreshingly raunchy. I love the choice to use a selection of sounds from such an artificially energetic porn chick. We've all seen pornos in which the actors unsuccessfully try to ratchet up the intensity of the sex by hollering out cliches. It's really funny to hear someone trying her/his hardest to to convince us that she/he is aroused without actually being that aroused. So to conclude, these samples turn a decent dance track into a hilarious one. Bravo.

Strangus, what did you think of the 15 people who placed above you? Were their tracks better? Did they gel more with the atmosphere of the night and the venue? Or were the judges just idiots?

nicknotis, They're were not necessarily better, it seemed that the more aggressive/dramatic sounding music scored better. Glitchy breaks, etc..
