Yeah I rather liked this as well. The unsequenced nature of the thingmajigs gives everything(amajig) a nice feel.
The other day I was reading an old 80's Keyboard magazine, and there's a review of the same 8-track deck you used in your photo.

this is encouraging! I definitely will be making more unsequenced hissy tape music. It's fun pushing buttons, waiting for it to rewind, and just adding layers over any mistakes. Trying to resync it all in an editor. It just becomes a lovely mess. Gotta figure out how to widen stuff effectively since the core is mono.
From what I understand all these Tascams... the 238, 234, 134 and 133 are all related. Rack mounted tanks is what they are. <3
