hehe - well, my theory is, if we all make some sacrifices now then the worst case is the science is wrong and we leave a cleaner planet to furture generations. no great shakes. not least because it can be really great fun making the sacrifices. cycling / walking / going by train through mountains and by the coast - etc etc...
the only thing that annoys me is that i make these sacrifices and i have no plans to have any children, yet so many people with children (or plans for children) don't seem to give a fuck.
(don't get me wrong...i know my sacrifice is minimal but it at least gives me the right to lecture others - including writing to the political classes...)
