Another practice set, this time with most of the "bastardy" patterns, patterns i don't quite like, which are not finished, where the sound has not been fixed, etc...
I got the cards for the patterns, shuffled them, and then played them in the order they came out. I had a very bad feeling while doing that, and had to fix some sounds, had some dropout, etc...
BUT! Listening to it again, it is very actually very smooth, very minimal, quite like I envisioned it. I'm also getting a bit more confident I don't need always changing elements and stuff, but that a good simple loop goes a long way. Obviously, the more complex stuff is a lot easier to manage on a computer, and on a drum machine I should actually focus more on stuff like I did in this set.
So, yeah I like it

It's really a treat to hear your live arrangements develop from release to release Daswesen. A ways in, there's a a mid frequency noise that transitions to a new beat. It really gets piercing. Also, I notice that your releases are always extremely quite. This is hardly an inconvenience. I'm happy to turn up the volume.

hey nicknotis, thank you very much. Yeah it's so soft cause I recorded at low volume on the phone outputs of the MD, couldn't adjust the volume on the lappy without getting mad background noise. Also, do you mean the one beat getting ring modulated at a freqency going upward?

Yes, I think that's the noise I'm talking about. It's about midway through. It's just too loud. There's nothing inherently wrong with it though.
