couple inspired hours this afternoon, wanted something very fast and electro but with that sad dance music quality that I get off on
it's super repetitive and simple, and some of the sounds are very annoying

P.S. I think this is the best thing you've done in a while (not sure about the third chord of that organ sound though - it kind of doesn't work for me). Melodies are really good.
Uh, not sure about some of the bassline notes - seems a little clashing

I like this... I hear something in there tho that gets me whenever I use tuned drums or kicks with attenuated filters etc...
that kick seems just too hi or sharp to me... you know? you have several in there but you know the one I mean? if not then its just me.
space this out a little? i mean recording space. like verb-open it up a little.

I think the kick could be low-passed a touch, that might help. It's pretty sharp. mlbot? fuck that guy, he sucks.
one of the bassline notes is pretty clashy, and it's right on that third organ chord you mentioned rosh, so I think I need to fix that chord!

This is the shit tantan. In the past, I've heckled you for depending too much on distortion for texture. I thought it killed the soundstage of your songs by blurring together all of the tracks. You seem to have learned how to completely overcome this problem though. And best of all, you've done so without letting go of all the distortion. Each track is deliciously isolated with a bit of space between. That allows me to appreciate the unique texture that each track in this mix has, as well as convincingly convey a sense of depth.

thnx guys
nick, yeah distortion is a crutch for me, just as reverb and delays and other effects can be. It's too easy to use it not to enhance the quality of a given sound but rather to hide it. Some of that can be really effective but it sure is easy to get carried away!

the kick drum is the most boring sound in this song, and also the most prominant, repetative and extensive.
I say, either save it for later and let the cool percussive Utonic sounds open the track, or modulate it somehow so that you can morph it from something cool and weird to the big thumper it is.

stand out composition. I envy how easily you play around in harmony.
I didn't mind the sound of the bass drum at first, but by the time you've got the piece developed with all of those synth layers, the bass drum sounds out of place. it doesn't hold up in the face of those synths. for me at least...
great song!
