Electronic Music 411 - astroid-trio for dog, guitar, modular

haha thanks people, except jdg and psyingo.

hageir, everything except guitar and dogs is my modular, triggering itsself in a glorious mess of glory. where you hear the click and then the change in music is actually me turning psyingo's modular on and off. it adds in that big kick and starves the cv of the rest of the patch down a perfect fourth.

the whole mess is being clocked by a sawtooth wave, which is running through a wave multiplier and then to an env and vca, which is putting some noise through the cv of a filter which has some of the other parts of the patch in it (probably one of the drone bits and the kick, when it's on).

sorry if that's convoluted, it's a modular and patching on it gets pretty convoluted. i like to reuse bits as much as possible in patches, so i'll run things through the same filter and vca, etc.

EDIT: the sawtooth wave through the multiplier and then to the env is doing the retrigger thing. you set it right, you can use that as a pulse multiplier. it abuses the trigger input of an env just right.

tiny bit hard on the ears, good thing I got ball-cheese-in-the-earhole protections.

The dog barking gives this a Swans flavor, with their ambient recordings + acoustic weirdness.

I like how the clipping/sawtooth retrigger eats up the sound, like a shark nibbling away at your toes. NOM NOM NOM NOM
