this is just a little ditty, something I was playing around with in my headphones while stuck in a hotel at a work conference. originally, my goal was to do one piece per night but it didn't work out. this was something I came up with though, and I kinda like it so I may develop it...

happy to get some feedback!

Awesome track, except for the high pitched repetative pipe clankish sample, which on my computer speakers is really really loud and bullies all the other sounds into submission.

Ending is uber rad

funny, I made that clankish/res sound straight eights thinking, "here's a novel idea, let's put in something repetitive," trying to do something I wouldn't normally do, to see how it feels, computer speakers be damned.

those high fm-y melodies rock my boat.
i like the clank. it's just a little tad too loud and too static. but the sound of it is awesome. this has some good groove going.

i was missing some low end, but this could be due to listening on computer speakers

and yes. the ending is uber rad.

thanks for the feedback, guys. this was all headphones, so no doubt the mixing is off. I'm looking forward to developing it a bit and when I do, I'll upload.

the ending is just a clip from some a take I did with some granular play, using the mix as source material. I think that take is almost a minute long and annoying as hell!

I agree about the end. And I'm surprised to say that the high pitched fm sound didn't bother me at all. My headphone setup is pretty sensitive to sibilance too.
