the immediate impact is warm, spacious, detailed, beautiful. is there paulstretch on the main bassy tone? soudns like time-stretched cello or s/t.
the song doesn't change too much, which is a stylistic choice. it tends not to be one that i gravitate towards, though lord knows i listen to phill niblock et all enough. I find that sounds need to be a bit richer/more organic (in the sense of non-repetitive detail in their timbre) to support that much extension through musical time, but to each his own. FWIW, i don't listen to a lot of 'ambient' music per se, finding that without a bit of harshness i lose interest, generally speaking.
A success.
