I like the ambient recordings that open it. The chords that open the track don't gel particularly well with the ambient sounds, but once the pieces come together it's enjoyable.
I think that there are too many sounds vying for a share of the low mid range, creates a pretty muddy mix. I like the sounds well enough, but I'd recommend spanning another octave or two with them.
Surprising and sophisticated melodic work, I'm particularly impressed with the composition once the higher end accent notes kick in. That section could be significantly expanded, even at the expense of some of the earlier melodic stuff.
