--> havent uploaded anything in a long time. right now i am making music for a production of "the ugly duckling", a childrens performance. here is something that i'll probably use in one form or another.

technical details: there are some field recordings in here, a couple of layers of recorded wind, and some wind effects made on the viola and treated. drums are me hammering on props we use in the performance. i had a recording session with a viola player, he played the melody a few times, did some improvisation stuff, and i have cutted and pasted stuff from that around the track. i found this old small xylophone - the ones we had in school, and i have fallen completely in love with it. it sounds so sweet! the bass in the track comes from the xylophone, played with soft mallets and pitched down. i think that sound is awesome, kinda like an 808 kick in a strange way. very nice for my ears. hope you like.

oh yes and there is a piano in the space we are rehearsing, i recorded a little idea from across the room, and it still sits in there, its the small chord-progression-signal that starts off every four bars i think.

this is really great, Nils. My one comment is that it might lack a little high frequency crispness. But that's probably just a question of taste. (Like if it were soup I'd say add a tiny pinch more salt.)

thanks fredo! when i use it in the performance i think i will have a layer of crispier live vocal stuff on top of it, i think that will solve your salthunger

Please pass the salt. I could use a little more too. Other than that, this is a good ass plate of food. I love the viola and xylophone.

I like it!

This was amazingly well done. Great work !

i concur.

this is good meat for a children's play.

thanks!

Mektigt og vakkert, som tatt ut av en film. Skulle ønske den var litt lenger. Vel utført
