I'm planning to be ueberproductive banging out chilly techno releases in order to get some stuff signed (to get gigs). This is what I came up with on the trainride back from STFU marseille. It's my usual acid stuff, but I feel I'm becoming better at achieving a clean sound. I want really critical feedback, tell me everything that sucks even slightly. What I think may be off:
bass slightly too loud?
introducing the acid is not super subtle
some of the acid patterns need a bit reworking
a bit more disto on the 303
chords suck, but I won't change those

i like the chords.
it's a relaxing tune, the last 1/3 part is great, but there could be something more going on in the mix, sound-design wise. the track needs a pinch more "soul" for me to connect
i somehow compare it to this bit of song, which is awesome and i listened to approx. 300 times link
miss more reverb for teh space
i like the general direction. more of that please!

yeah it's a bit sterile, but I have to admit i'm going for that at the moment, and not try to force the soul or spend too much time. Just churn out tracks, basically, craftsmanlike.

i keep chinese kids in my basement doing that for me, they edit so fast, their fingers get all blurry and they're doing it well to earn their rice. and with rice i mean strokes with a wooden club
working with Live again? are you getting lazy? :P
i think you should put the soul and the time in it (but not force it, right) - it's worth the effort

very slick
i don't think it was missing any 'soul', in fact it sounds nice and warm despite the acid
i thought maybe the slow fading in of the acid line at the beginning might have been done differently, maybe obscure the tone/melody a bit more
the intro was really nice though, sets the scene
the delayed stabs at the end sound gorgeous, really takes me back to early club experiences ;)
nice work man, let us know if you update the tune

updated the tune, just fixed a few acid patterns, and changed the acid intro a bit.

being very critical so buckle up your pussy:
it's smooth as fuck, and then the 303 bass comes in and makes it seem kinda average.
i'd rather have the smooth develop on it's own without going to the wank 303, maybe some kind of dubstepish bass that doesnt demand all the attention
that's my big impression

yeah astroid, i think i came to the same conclusion. that means that this track is done and buried, i'll work on that stuff for the next one, which will be so smooth you won't even see it coming

That sub bass instrument does seem too loud.
