--> Something I recorded today, it's totally improv, except for the beat pattern I set up a couple minutes before I hit record. Starts sort of droney and ambient, then gets noisy and fast-paced after a few minutes! Calms down a bit after. The dual trems in series are really cool! Gear used:

alesis 8-channel mixer
ehx 2880 looper
bent dfx94 looper/delay
boss dd20 looper/delay
korg es1
ehx big muff
ehx electric mistress (flanger)
zvex fuzz factory
boss eq
boss trem
boss volume pedal
boss reverb
line 6 tonecore tap trem

Recorded with laptop. I'm trying to build a small arsenal of live "tunes" I can play for small gigs, since I am pretty much uncapable of playing my usual "cloudscapes" stuff without relying 90% on the computer.

yay! *big grin*
sorry about the size. I couldn't easily shorten the track, and low bitrate MP3s make my ears bleed.

the more I listen to it, the less I'm convinced, though. I like the idea and a lot of the moments, but other parts could use some work. the beats, although good, don't vary at all. some little hints of melody here and there coulda been emphasized too. oh well, that's what I get from improv.

I'm going to try and re-record another take tomorrow, with more preperation

I like your guitar effects!
zvex

more info on the bent dfx94 please

yeah the zvex pedals are quite fun! pricey though
I want to get the step-sequenced ringmod next (zvex ringtone)

This is gloriously disorganized (that's a good thing!)

I love the crazy weird percussion.

your other recent 'release' has caputured more of my mind, so i think i'll focus my reviewng skills on it.

as for this one, i think you know what could be improved. definitely needs a few more es-1 patterns mixed in there, especially once the tremolo starts getting really fast around 5:45. also the flanger was a bit too upfront and recognizable for my tastes. but considering that its all done in realtime, its pretty good.
