Love how the banjo just effortlessly sits with classic dub stylee. i want moar now!!

from the links you posted, I found this: link - looks interesting

Nice track Monty, I really like the banjo sound on this one.
Recent blogs: Possum Trot, Tipu's Tiger

ragga, and no mistake.

I actually did a whole term paper last semester on Dub music. Wikipedia is wrong, Ragga was teh FIRST digital.

I really like the way you added the banjo in, you have gotten really good at playing it. Did you know that banjo was used in original Jamaican folk music? Way before Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, and on. You should look up "Mento" music, they were using banjos before anything else.

haha this is great... love your stuff, it's so laid back and fun

wow, killer banjo playing!

proves how using presets makes hits

I now dub the "Casio MT-41" as the "Digi-Sleng Teng Machine"
this is great.
i did a mix of the john wayne version once
nice stuff
dope. love the sounds of that keyboard

cheers for the kind words.
the banjo part is a traditional tune called "The Sailors Return" it just seemed to fit.

thanks also for the tip about mento music.
i started getting into the banjo through its use in irish music.
irish immigrants came into contact with african american musicians who brought the banjo from africa.

Zanf, that film looks great.
hopefully it'll get a screening up here at some point.

i need to use the four track more, its got some wicked/slightly cheesey fx.
its only recently ive felt confident enough to use the banjo without having to chop it up and tighten it up in recycle.

I love it!! !
