--> Here is some mellow vibe for your consumption... its older but I thought I'd throw it out there for good measure.

If anyone is curious the Wurlitzer is the MrRay VSTi. It's quite good.

sounds great. drums too loud.

I like the track. Drums might have some more mastering. the kick is lacking puch as is the snare. The cymbels/rides are getting lotsof space. The atmosphere of the track is very nice though

ooh! quality. great choices for samples/instruments. great mix. just loverly. oldie but a goodie? reminds me of ray manzarek keyboard style (doors).
been making some "The Doors" cover tunes for fun and this is very much like their keyboard sounds and melody bits. Ray was an under-appreciated member of that band I think. great percussion here too!

No, I disagree about mastering on the drums - the grittiness really establishes the vibe - very great, laidback feel.

Although, jdg is rite, drums a little too loud

The keys and beats gel together really well. Sound track to a road movie?

thanks all.
actually bew, the original keyboard was an idea I had put together for a marketing bit for my boss's wife's custom home business - it didn't quite fit the theme tho!

yeah the drums are typical brushy jazz kit so that bass drum is really hollow and boomy.
thx for the input everybody.

very professional.

nice vibe!
great keyboard skills.
pleasently chilled
this is sweet!! a smooth groove, very mellow.

awwww very sweet.

funkayyyyy

i was thinking that you could build a little more, but then you rested to add movement. you're *not* playing at the right time. a great lesson. thanks for the song!

thx fellas...
eyes - I was always happy with that break and some of the spaces, thx for saying so.

the drums sound so loud to me now whenever I listen to it, thx jdg... you funboy. (you're totally right tho, as always... esp. for brushes)

I like this track, great job on the instrumentation. I agree the drums could come down a little bit or be placed a little further back in the mix. The keys could have a bit more bite and presence.

Actually, the drums sound just fine if you turn down the track volume. Makes the keys sound perfect when they come up and saturate. Don't listen to these folks, they will all be deaf b4 they turn 34. I agree with Roshi, the mix as it is makes it sound more 70's.
