Electronic Music 411 - drill & bass rmx track, work in progress

Would you say this sort of drum programming is best done in step time or realtime? Or perhaps by some miracle or gift, you're able to draw every event in with a mouse and shift them around as you go?

I programmed samples in Renoise with the computer-keyboard, it's not drummed in realtime with a midicontroller, respect to the people that can do that though! Step for step, the tracker way...you can use the mouse as well for editing/copy/(mix)paste etc, but I prefer the keyboard.
