COVER PROJECT SUBMISSION!!!!!

I loved The Stone Roses.
the bass line in this song always killed me.
heres the original for any young 'uns
link
listen to it before mine.

well this is the first draft.
the mix is teh dodgy

a 4-track jobby
gameboy advance running LSDJ
and the 5 string banjo
and some crappy "singing"

first time ive used the 5-string for ages.
still need to practice my finger picking

interested in suggestions.
ie: is it worth doing properly?

stone roses were one of my favorites. really underrated back in the day and almost forgotten today. this made me smile.
this is pretty cool, i love that first album of theirs. the singing is better than anything Ian Brown could manage these days.
this is certainly an improvement over the original. I, myself, have considered covering "I Am the Resurrection" but found that that's like the one track that I love love love by the Stone Roses. frankly, I didn't quite care for their other tracks and their signature shoegazey "drone." The definition of every one of these parts alone makes this track superior to the original.
cheers!

fakeBlooper: you couldn't describe the Roses as being underrated in the UK. there on the verge of being over-rated.
great band. never fulfilled their potential though.

i saw Ian Brown live in '97...his singing was... er, interesting.
i love some of his solo stuff though.
haha instant smile music, love it man, good job Eddie.

The thing about Ian Browns singing is that it fits the music instantly and makes it more accessable to the target generation, there's nothing worse than a classically trained singer that never gets a note wrong.
haha...i thought this would attract at least one smelly manc.... ;)

the thing i like about Ian Browns singing is he could keep his regional accent without it sounding forced or gimmicky.
its hard to do.
i love the stone roses

i can't believe people are saying they are nearly forgotten

they are played everywhere i reckon

i hear them all the time

ian's singing is amazing

its pure scally brilliant

this is great monty - ace - but you need to go for the full vocoder - autotune vocal to make it work i reckon

i might sing on my cover - and i'm shite too ;)
stone roses are fantastic. as is this cover. you can't really sing unless you really go for it. your chest should expand, not your belly. full, deep breaths. not that i am a great singer, i haven't really any range. but when you sing go for 100%, and if it isn't great, then singing not great is your gimmic.
lol great work eddie
well, i adore you edski!

i think it's cool...do it
wow man the arhythmical feeling in the melody is really cool man I love it!!!! Brilliant~!! Bet it's hard to get people to appreciate it the way you do!
