man this is some creative ish, really all over the board like a modern bohemian rhapsody
this digs right back into tracker days with the patterns. the synth and verbs are straight out of the 80s.. the combo interposed melody is straight from the 70s.. is there even a homage to chip music half way in or so?
you won me over when you came back to the synth lines and double harmonies
i will be listening to this in my car.. let you know how that goes - sounds good on mac laptop speakers so far

A big, long-strides anthem. I like the way the bass is mixed, both bassline and kicks. Can you please enlighten a bit on the production of the drums? That's what impressed me the most.

What i did is a straight freestyle midi drum session. Then I cleaned things up and structured/copy and pasted/edited etc. I had a strange 1/16th auto filter on it. Then once that was done, I dropped the level in half, cloned it to a non effects track, and then auto gained the compression with a reasonable attack. The maraca type shake sound is on a different group so is using it's own compression at a lower volume level. Hope that made sense. If not, message me.
