--> First try at incorporating the new monomachine into my set. The ability to do real synthesis has definitely triggered a lot of changes, I'm also enjoying new kinds of techno at the moment (more melodic stuff, less the industrial feel of hawtins mixes).

So here is the first ever try at mixing something with both machines, it's definitely way more a challenge than with just the MD alone, and while recording it I didn't feel it very well, but listening to it today it's quite cool. The first half is a bit slow and off on the flow, but it gets tighter after like 15 minutes. I started tweaking things like the reverb as well, which I'll concentrate on now (I've been concentrating on mastering the delays for about 6 months now, and think I got it where I want it to be).

Now I just have to work a lot more and hope to pull off the same stuff live

I'll admit that I'm not really in the mood to sit through all of this right now, but I've been flicking between different parts and they all sound really cool. Nice tones.

I promise to listen to the whole thing later and try and be more helpful then.

there's too much and i don't know enough so i won't try and leave any criticism

but i have to say i was a little worried about you using a mm because i've liked your md stuff so much and i didn't want you to get too "melodic" but i can say that what you have accomplished are synth parts that aren't too "synthy" maybe cuz of their simplicity and they're the kind that add to the beat rather than distract, which is the only kindof melody i like

and i lied because i remain really skeptical about using bitcrushers and i think in this case maybe more subtlety...

also i liked the bitcrushing a little more when it came in the second time (or at least the second time i noticed) much more subtlety, but i'd take it a step further and have it creep up even more slowly and reach an even lower peak

cheers kidgamma, that some very valid criticism. It's still abit too melodic, i'm starting to look into big lfo basses and things like that You're right about the bitcrusher it's a bit brutal.

yeah there's some nice bits. i like the flow of the whole thing, the beauty of the kicks.
the synths need to be a bit worked out though.

it must be really more difficult to handle everything with 2 machines which are so complex...

that was good
but i want less smooth more chaos! (if its funky chaos)
