as usual, the hiphop/IDM hybridizer em'er 978 is lots of fun to listen to.
i don't like the original rap - i do like this song though...cheers

the rapper is swinging harder than the track in the first verse- a possible remedy would be to take out some of the straight 16th detail-UNTIL he starts that dotted note over the barline stuff-then it begins to groove. the second verse feels better because there's less detail-more possibliity for the rapper to supply the feel.

alternatively u could warp the vocal to match the drums at the key parts, thus making it super-digital ultra tight..but still allowing some slop in others...

the mc's pacing of delivery, makes my toe tap in a way thats different than the music you have going.
like the music, and the mc, but i think they could go together better.
