--> This track opens with a field recording I took at some Chinese New Year celebrations in London. You can hear kids throwing tiny little fire-crackers which bang when they hit the ground. I isolated these popping sounds and used them to build up a percussive element which runs through the track.

The track is in 5/4, but I deliberately made the melody sound like it's in 4/4, by using 5 measures of 4 beats, which sync with the beat every 4 bars... It's hard to describe more clearly, but hopefully it makes sense when you hear the track.

thanks, enjoi!

cool. like the field recording...and track.

only further comment: the fire-cracker sounds make up part of the rhythmn too quickly for my liking. I'd like a more subtle transition to thier inclusion...if that makes sense...?

Thanks sAMsKi. I think I agree with you... I always tend to squash things up. This is from an album of eight tracks, the rest of which are around the three minute mark. The idea was originally to keep things moving quickly to keep the listener engaged - but perhaps I went a little too far.

i agree with samski

definitely dig the track too

only a minor point really. i think you can still keep it moving no worries, i just wanted the fire-cracker sounds to be a little more sparse in the rhythm at the start and then add more in a bit later on...but as i said, only a minor point. i likey!

Very nice. The feild recording adds a vibrance to this peice.
Good job
