this is really cool, but i think it'd be that much cooler if you were a bit more sparing with the stuttery stuff

imho

No, I'm princess laia.

so what is that darth vader sample originally from?

No idea, but I think he took it from the alternate version of Mutual Slump (I might be wrong).

I agree with Astroid, the beat is so much cooler when it isn't doing the panning and stuttering (maybe if the stuttering was a little humanised? Maybe that's not what you're after). Maybe you could stretch the madness to the filtered-bass, that'd be cool.

Still very good though, the best Betamod release I've heard yet (along with something by jcd I think).

Go ninja Go ninja GO!

nice.
the lfo is your friend.
fun stuff. some breaky drums - not too shabby!
more please

Thanks for the feedback. I see what your saying about he drums, less stutter whould make for a more human sound. And yes I robbed the sample from and alternate version of Mutual Slump. I have also been wondering about the orgins of the sample. I originally thought it was from a movie but I cant find any info on it. I have also heard it was something DJ Shadow recorded himself. If you listen closely after the female voice asks "Do You Feel Like Darth Vader." you can hear a faint voice say "yes" It sounds like it could be Shadows voice but I dont know. There used to be a site that traced all of Shadows samples back to the source but I guess its not up anymore.

This sounds good but it doesn't make me think of DJ Shadow.

I like the studdering. so FU hatters.

I donut care right now about any what.

Yea FU hatters!!! =)

This is dope KutnPaste! Shadow is inspiring, isn't he? I have a Shadow sample or two in my record collection...I stumbled upon a mayan flute album that he samples for like 20 seconds as the intro of "You Can't Go Home Again" on Private Press.

I like the stuttters but agree with what everyone else has said about them so far...

Dopeness.

Funky fresh beats + Mad scratchin / stuttering = win! I really dig this. It makes me want to play Earthbound for SNES (because of the hip hop vibe to it).
