This is my very first recording- a 1.5 minute snippet of the intro to my first song. Woohoo! Brooklyn, New York, USA
About me
Obsessed with early obscure minimal electronic music from the late 70's and early 80's....would love to meet others for collaboration, dorking out, trading music, and learning more!
My Gear
Really just getting started learning how to create electronic music after fiddling around with various techniques and synths over the past 7 years. I have settled on hardware- an MPC 1000, Nord Lead and Electribe drum machine.

It's a good start. The bassline is fat, and I always appreciate live tweaks, like at 1:07. I can anticipate the hats coming in and maybe a melody. Mix is good so far. Keep going!

Keep truckin! I recommend additional sound design on the drum kit clap. Make it something I haven't already heard four thousand times. But most importantly, just keep going.
Thank for the input nicknotis and rogerroger. Yeah, I am working with the ER-1 drum-machine and it doesn't give much flexibility with sounds for the claps if you use that specific program. I think perhaps I should just create the sound from scratch with a different program so it isn't as generic. Though I do love me some hand claps, even generic ones.
Recent blogs: Electro-Magnetism Mix and Podcast, Hi- and I really like it here.
I like the mixed media art on your website! Nice work on the ER-1. How long have you been programming the machine?
I hear chords that can be added here... and that would lead to a lead. Nice start. Like the little tricky intro.
My advice... phase out your ER-1. Use your MPC1000 more. Jus sample the ER-1 for it's crazy sounds. The MPC should always be your bread and butter. Signup to comment
