sounds great man, nice one
Sweet composition. Can you play this on a real piano and mic it? That's my only complaint. Sampled piano instruments never sound as good as the real thing.

Your last track is also a real treat to hear.

if I had a real piano and a bunch of expensive mics.

sadly no i cannot. Again, i am rather poor and work with what I have.

3 things I wish I had.

1. a real piano

2. a community of musicians to play with daily IRL

3. the capital to invest in myself as an artist

the way it looks nowadays, it will be a long time before I have any of these 3 things. Honestly it kind of breaks my soul.

you don't know what time will bring. stay prepared by being awesome.

I wish I had that stuff to give you.

Here’s a thought about the 7/4 time signature. When I compose in it, I think in 8/4, and then convert it to 7/4. I’m pretty sure most people also do that because most of the things I hear in 7 sound unnatural, like the part was conceived in 8 and then got the end chopped off. It impresses the shit out of me when someone actually seems to think natively in 7. The end result sounds natural. I think you’ve achieved just that with this piece Utofbu.

hey thx! the melody itself is what does that I believe. the thematic melody ignores the downbeat yet represents 4/4 and 3/4 pretty blatantly. it gives me a carte blanch to whack off I guess.

thx nick!

more blues lix!
