--> An 808 and 1 synth, that's all.
Probably won't sound too hot through phones, best on hifi with widely spread speakers (as it was made).
iTunes MP3 encoding ruins the character of the 808 I've discovered but what else can I use? The MAME encoding in DP4.5 is even worse.

LOL did you draw the picture?

is that a real 808? sounds like a computer emu ... maybe that's the compressions you were talking about though. i really like the melodies.

tooth you have to give the player some time to update the playlist.

nice one, even if just a drum machine and a synth. actually i think it's not suffering from the lack of other instruments, but it's beauty stems right from this "limitation".

did you play the synth or programmed it?

Played live by automaton midi robots.
It's 808 samples. I'd love one though, and a 707.

relistening now... maybe you should eq the synth a bit (remove some mud freqs, boost some his) to give it more character... but maybe the uncompressed version has what i'm referring to, i dunno

i really like the writing on the synth lines.. very nice. it has a a nice balance between human and machine feel to it, which is what i think good electronic music is all about.
