--> yo- this is a track done live w/a 606, 909, FR revolution and some FX from live. also i think hteah played a synth note or two in tehre.. a pad type thing. nothing sequenced though.

it was done completely improv. we jammed for about 3 hours. like a couple of dumbasses we only recorded the last 15 minutes. there were some really sweet moments. this chunk of it sounds pretty damn good to me. it went straight to 2 track. no multitracking or mixing or anything.

i ran it through a compressor and edited the beginning and the end to get rid of some sloppiness. otherwise it's exactly what we played.

it's a really spacey 120BPM acid track. just kind of chugs along. lot's of head space and subtle drum maneuvering.

it does change towards the middle someplace and becomes a different song.. sort of just flowed that way. it was the most fun i had making music in a while. just all about the liveness and jamming and machines.

hteah was on the FR revolution and i was on the 606/909 but we did change places a couple times and tell one another to do this or do that.. like "you're fucking it up.. take that out of there" lol.

it was pbr's + techno machines = fun night. the track was just a bonus.

btw.. hteah had never even seen the FR revolution before. he is an acid monster. just sort of naturally new what to do. i wish i had the whole 3 hours recorded. would've been an album right there.

cool

or instead of a cd something like this could be a venue timeslot.

yeah. i wish we would've jammed more or played live together some more. hteah has left portland for the time being.

this is ill!
dope song

excellent chunky acid - shame you didnt record the rest of the jam.

i'm sorry, did you say something?
I was totally just spacing out to the music just then.

That clangy drum run through lotsa springy reverb is really really DARK... giving this that sorta blend of acid/industrial that Psychic TV had.

i think that's the resonator in live you are talking about. funny.. i've never listened to psychic TV etc.. hteah loves them. when i got reviewed in the wire they compared my stuff to psychic TV and their affiliates.

i guess we were channeling them? glad you guys are digging it

this is great.

i think you guys totally have a band here.

sounds like you should get hteah to burn you some PTV.

ITS HOMEWORK TIME

oh and PS

PORTLAND HIPSTER ALTERT!!! PORTLAND HIPSTER ALERT
