Sunken Sky

--> I released the bubble house the other day. Had some good feedback, so thought I would follow it up with one of my earlier pieces.

In 2004, I created the 'found object electro-ensemble.' Old cutlery, and other objects about the place became electronic instruments to create a CD for my partners jewellery exhibition 'Sunken City' - you can look at the jewellery here: link

Sunken Sky is probably the most accessible piece from the CD, and features the Forkaphone, the Toy Vibes, the Winaphone, the Spoon Bell as well as organ, piano and some synth drums.

i think the creativity in the bubble house beats this song by far.

pretty song, pretty jewelry!
i love the low piano to counter the higher toy piano. that's fun.
incidentals here are good.
something sounds a little to clean. maybe some dirty distortion or drum-breaks?
lovely though, nonetheless!

Thanks for the comments. I know it isn't as creative as bubble house, far too clean for my tastes now. But at the time (couple years back) I was fresh to found object/sampling music, and it seemed to go with the artwork. I learnt some time after this piece not to try to clean the music up so much. Some rough edges are good. Interesting to see how style evolves. Actually, I was unhappy with it and deconstructed it and used the drum part for a completely different piece, which maybe I will post at some stage.
