can't tell if i'm in an underwater lab or in space...
nice environmental sounds for sure!
remind us here of your release sometime.
would love to check out the whole lot....
thanks!

No - in a moment of stupidity I had the folder where it's stored set to "private" so that no-one but me could access it. Clever eh? Seems to work now

beautiful, but that panning!

tears my brain in half. haha

after hearing what you were thinking about-i'd consider doing a touch more psychoacoustics to this-pan the things to 85% rather than 100.

i love hearing the stuff echo through the stereo field, though

i bet you could make this really cool in quad or 5.1, vector panning the voices around, etc etc. the panning as it is didn't bother me all too much, but maybe 85% might alleviate some ear-stress, if you choose to do so. One idea i had when listening to the piece was to accent the song with small moments where a reverb or delay of one track shows up in another voice's space. Or, more generally, having the voices move around the stereo field a little bit. you could try something like a room-spatializer or the like (as opposed to a stereo widening plugin, something that creates the illusion of a sound being in a certain place with respect to the listener, reverb being similar in concept). just a thought.

cool stuff. very spacey. You should check hecker if you haven't. his stuff is pretty different, but might be an interesting comparison for you: link

the overall dynamics of the piece are rather uniform, and i wonder if you couldn't do something to give the piece a little more shape overall. I have a feeling that if you put this track among other tracks on an album that this criticism would be less applicable. keep us posted on the upcoming album.

would you like to tell us a little bit about how this was made?
