This was awesome. I always love your work. Playing Appalachian tunes in Edinburgh? Now thats bizarre.

oddly enough the other day I ran into a bagpiper on the street who was playing a song that my brother and i play all the time...i had always known it as the old appalachian tune "blackberry blossom". he said he had always known it as the highland song "killing time".
it makes sense historically, of course, that the tunes are similar in scotland and appalachia, but it was awesome to hear the evidence so clearly like that.

scotch irish roots to some appalachian tunes. makes sense to me that it goes both ways!
