this has some good moments in there towards the middle/end, but it's a bit too static at the beginning imho. the pitch bend effect sounds wanky, again, imho.

possible idea to spice it up would be having another timbre in there (maybe just another instance of the same timbre that's not swelling with everything else)

just being hypercritical. this is lovely.

you're more prolific than an irish catholic k-fed. i like the tiny pitch bends. great stuff. keep it comin!

Sounds like it's been mastered on a beaten up VHS, nice...definitely picking up a wide eyed 80s adventure vibe here.

The only thing that bother's me is that it seems to lack some kind of depth, like the frequencies stay in the same area most of the time which makes it sound a bit computerised and flat but that could well be the mp3 compression.

I really hope Kranky (whoever they are) give you what you want. I remember you were into a track of mine a while back that none of the Americans seemed to get and it would be a beacon of hope to see your music take off.

sounds a leetle bit, to me, like Flying Saucer Attack, but without loads of tape hiss and less noise.
given that they are one of my favourite bands, I like this, but I'd crank in some tape hiss.

is that a dope tin on the curtain rods? lol kidding.
also, nice stone table-top....
and very good luck with the demo.
if they're all kinda like this, i think you're kinda in....
i really like the arching droney intro.....
mastered on VHS. lol tooth. I thinks its lovely!!

haha thanks luna, that pic isn't one of mine unfortunately. i just google imaged 'molasses' and it came up...neato.

sending the demo tomorrow. 4 tracks. they've already heard two, hope thats enough

fingers crossed

hey race4prize, just by chance i was listening to your monotape project and your bookseller project layered on top of eachother, and i think that if you combined the two projects ... you would have a super winner. make ambient drones to play over your monotape stuff - it really sounded awesome when i had those two songs playing together, like it complemented it so well.

I like your stuff, but I find a lot of it sounds the same...too many pads are being used maybe? I agree with datathinner...
