Vocals are crumby imho. Weird growling, lyrics, control, melody all could be a lot better. Sounds kind of 90s with a bit of edge but the edge is about having a nervous breakdown to a backdrop of moody synths and it's all about 10 years too late. If she/you want some real edge, do something original.

i hear what tooth is saying about the vocals, but i think the issue is with the vocal production-for my taste, i'd say get in there with a compressor, do a bunch of takes, really get at the emotion of the piece. Don't make her do all that in one take- the big singing stuff should allow her to almost scream, the talking stuff should be almost a whisper-and both of those can be recorded seperately.
she can sing, but knowing how to record and compress her is a different story.
