Hello friends.
here is a little sampling of some music I've been making with my friend dave. This track is pretty much done, though we are interested in working some more on the composition/structure of the track.
emplayer is playing the song at the wrong speed so.... u can go here:

I was really enjoying this for the first minute or so. Nice groove but then it felt like you were struggling to develop it into a full track. The delays seemed a lazy way to fill some time and after that it lost its direction imo. Good stuff though.
And the bass tone sounds very computer to me. Maybe layer it with another slightly different timbre with a little pitch mod and some noise and distortion (or use something analogue if you got it). Since it's only a few notes I could sample my MS10 for you if you like and post up a zipped .wav?

the bass tone is actually a sequential circuits split 8(100% analog), played through a vintage fender tube amp... guess it goes to show that its all in the 'ear' of the beholder.
thanks for the comments.... and I would definitely be interested in somethingh from yer ms10 to layer w. the bass tone.
I'll actually look and see if I have the midi file right now....

LOL- it's analogue! Check me out being all analogue conaisseur...
OK maybe I just hear a lack of depth, punch and character. Not that the bass sounds bad, it sounds good, just if it were mine I would want to warm it up a bit. I also find that MP3 compression often compromises the character of an analogue sound.
Let me know if you want the notes off my MS10 and I'll try to dial in a good sound to layer it with.
