Electronic Music 411 - MyPosts - trying out something new

Hello all, been awhile since I've been around. Hope everyone is doing well and kicking out the jams...

Playing around with a new 'recent posts' page. You'll have to excuse if this has been replicated somewhere else on the site, but I don't think it has? If not, it's long overdue:

try it out. Obviously there won't be much there if you/your friends haven't posted recently (ie, the last 15 minutes which is when I started setting this up).

No worries, I'm not going to start messing around too much and breaking what you know and love.

Here are the other ideas I had:

Update the textarea with a few buttons to make it easier to input tags (bold, italic, url, expand, etc).
Maybe simplify/compact the menu?
Replace the clunky mail icons.
Add a video section?

I also like the new Ableton add on the side.

I understand the necessity for random google adds, but I think this is a useful place for music gear companies to advertise and their adds can be useful to us folks who like lusting after gear.

yes!
now releases start only if explicitly clicked on play... still it plays all of the releases list but nonetheless a nice improvement (i was sick of the greasemonkey hacks, it's not like i can install them on evry computer i use)

Hi admin: if you're tinkering with the site, any chance of reinstating the number of comments for releases om the homepage? the greasemonkey script that 'fixes' this runs very slowly (and generates unnecessary server traffic too ;) )
