I have a bcr2000 and It makes me want to sing and dance.

I don't dj with it though....well I sorta do...

the bcr is a totally different story.

ace controller. good quality for that price. but the bdj is really crap.

i was looking at some of these to use w/ traktor and from what I read everyone who has used one basically hates them...and they mostly go for ~500$
dunno it seems like if you really want to dj just get some turntables for that price and actually do it. I tried using traktor and didn't like the lack of functionality in the program..

it might be worth getting one for the midi functionality alone tho.

to be honest:
traktor is friggin' amazing.
though quite different from using vinyls

so, what features are you missing in traktor?

Unknownforce said: "whats so bad about it?"

apart from the fact that it doesn't work with pretty much any dj software, including traktor, without an intense headache and lots of 3rd party midi stuff, the audio cuts out intermittently, half the faders and knobs aren't recognised, the jogwheel only works within the b-dj software its supplied with and etc etc it has actually been the only piece of gear i have ever bought that has made me want to shoot myself. a

although i hear the new version is made for traktor, so maybe it won't make you want to slice your face off quite so much x

oh and yeah, i know some people who own a bcR, and apparently they are ok. just please, please, please don;t buy a bcd. your better off buying a hundred screwdrivers and stabbing yourself in the face. your money will be better spent.
lol race4prize

i've had a hercules, that was pretty cheap feeling but totally ace!
also have currently got a bcd 2000 and yeah, stay away from this piece of crap.

the buttons on the Vestax are pretty clicky aren't they?

I've had the Numark Total Control for about a year, it's alright. I'd give it a 7.
It's got lots of knobs and buttons and two wheels similar to roland dj cd players.
The Numark Cue software works pretty awesome with it, and has really good functions for dj'ing. Unfortunately you only get a trial version , have to buy real version for an extra couple hundred(?!)
I found that Traktor is not as useful a program, but that's another thread.
Lately been using it to control rebirth.

I've been eying one of these

yes, i like that. You really know when you've pressed them

aight, so i got the vestax a couple of days ago. been using it here and there whenever i get the chance, but still haven't been able to fully use and get comfortable with it. it feels good though. feels solid. it's heavy, which i like because it doesn't feel like a toy and that i could take some abuse. the buttons are not as clicky as i though they would be; for some reason the demo videos in youtube always showed the buttons to be hella loud.

i like it so far
